The Dolph Briscoe Center for American History curates, creates, and installs exhibitions based on its collections at our four Briscoe Center divisions; the Research and Collections Division on the University of Texas campus; the Sam Rayburn Museum in Bonham; the Briscoe-Garner Museum in Uvalde; and the Winedale Historical Complex, a complex of restored nineteenth-century structures and modern facilities near Round Top, Texas. Exhibitions at these sites have encompassed topics in Texas and Southern history, news media history, civil rights, women’s history, decorative arts, entertainment industry, and music. Exhibits are also shown in other locations in collaboration with galleries and museums. The Briscoe Center has produced more than 200 exhibits since 1981.
