The Briscoe–Garner Museum, located in Uvalde, Texas, documents the lives of “Cactus Jack” Garner, one of the most powerful vice presidents in U.S. history, and Dolph Briscoe, former governor of Texas, landowner, rancher, and noted philanthropist. The Sam Rayburn Museum, located in Bonham, Texas, is dedicated to the life of the Congressman and longest-serving Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Winedale, originally assembled by Miss Ima Hogg located near Round Top, Texas, is a research collection of nineteenth-century structures, material culture, and decorative arts.
