The Briscoe Center for American History is a history research center with few peers. Our archives, libraries, museums, and historic buildings contain treasures that echo with the stories of the people, places, and ideas that have shaped our nation’s history.
Thanks to the generosity of over 300 donors, our research and collections division in Sid Richardson Hall, Unit 2, on The University of Texas at Austin campus now includes an enhanced reading room for research; three new galleries to present changing exhibitions from our collections; and two new seminar rooms for a variety of programs including lectures, panel discussions, symposia, book talks, film screenings, and round-table discussions.
These rejuvenated public spaces make the Briscoe Center a destination that will attract students, scholars, and history devotees from around the world.
