The Austin Women Activists Oral History Project Records is a collaboration between the Briscoe Center and the Department of History, and undergraduate students working under the direction of Dr. Laurie Green. Green and the students conducted oral histories with women who participated in campus and community activism during the 1960s and 1970s. Following guidelines provided by the Briscoe Center, the students produced high quality sound recordings with descriptive metadata between 2017 and 2019. Funding from UT’s History Department and the College of Liberal Arts made it possible to provide professional transcriptions of the project interviews.
