This display honored George Herbert Walker Bush (1924-2018), and featured photographs by David Valdez showing Bush in his presidential life and behind the scenes with family. Valdez became Bush’s personal photographer during Bush’s tenure as vice president under Ronald Reagan. Upon being elected president in 1992, Bush appointed Valdez director of the White House photo office. Valdez donated his archive to the Briscoe Center in 2012.
