Briscoe Center Hosts Early Bird Explore UT Activities
February 26, 2012
AUSTIN, Texas – Get an early start on Explore UT, “the biggest open house in Texas,” at the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History. On Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., families, students, and educators will enjoy a variety of activities related to history and the Briscoe Center’s tremendous collections.
- Play vintage games from the Videogame Archive (back by popular demand).
- Become a famous Texan for the day! Make a mask of Ann Richards, Barbara Jordan, Quanah Parker, Stephen F. Austin or others.
- Pose for a photograph and then attach the print to an old-fashioned carte de visite.
The Briscoe Center will be closed for research that day, but will re-open to researchers Monday, March 5, at 10:00 a.m.
