Mark Stanton Smith is a lawyer and longtime resident of San Antonio. He attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in 1983 in government. Returning to San Antonio, Mr. Smith graduated from St. Mary’s University with a J.D. in 1985. Mr. Smith is a named partner in the firm of Heard & Smith, L.L.P., which has offices in five Texas cities. The focus of his practice is estate planning, trusts, guardianship, and disability law. Mr. Smith is licensed in all Texas courts and in the federal courts. He has lectured and taught throughout the nation on probate and guardianship issues to various professional legal groups, bar associations, and judicial conventions. 

Mark Stanton Smith has been married to Ida Mae Longoria for over 25 years. They have two sons, Tyler Ellis Smith and Andrew Travis Smith.
