Dr. Rowena H. Dasch

Rowena Houghton Dasch is the executive director of the Neill-Cochran House Museum in Austin, Texas. She received her master’s and Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin and her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University. At the Neill-Cochran House Museum, Dr. Dasch is responsible for all aspects of administration, preservation, and exhibition development. Her current research and work are focused on the site’s slave quarters structure—the only original dependency left on the property and the only intact slave quarters still standing in Austin.
In addition to serving on the Ambassadors Council at the Briscoe Center, Dr. Dasch is a member of Friends of the Texas Historical Commission and the Princeton Club of Austin. When she has free time, Dr. Dasch loves to cook and enjoys hiking and traveling with her husband, Kevin, and two daughters.
