Winedale Historical Complex, Round Top, Texas
The Briscoe Center’s annual quilt exhibition displayed examples of 19th and 20th-century red-and-white quilts and redwork bedcovers from its Winedale Quilt Collection. This crisp color combination was featured across a range of quilts, embroidered redwork, study textiles, and quilt blocks. With one notable exception, all the textiles displayed were both red and white, though, occasionally, a bit of another color (or two) also appeared.
