This exhibition contrasted the quilting traditions of Amish and Mennonite communities. Showcased were five Amish quilts dating from 1905 to 1983, and pieces from the Mennonite quilting tradition, exhibiting both an historic and more modern Mennonite quilt as well as a set of hand-stitched “plain clothes”, all from the Briscoe Center’s Winedale Quilt Collection.
