Tom Wright was a documentary photographer and manager for some of the most legendary acts in rock-n-roll and his images of performers, audiences and concert venues provide a true insider’s perspective into the history of rock music from the 1960s to the 1990s. Wright’s close working and personal relationships with performers like Pete Townshend of The Who granted him access to moments no other photographer could capture. The Briscoe Center in home to the Tom Wright Photography Collection which contains over one hundred and twenty thousand photos and thousands of audio and video recordings and the Tom Wright Papers which includes personal correspondence, articles, clippings, and concert tour materials such as itineraries and financial records.
