The Briscoe Center’s Newspaper Collections contain more than 4,500 Texas, Southern, U.S., and non-U.S. titles and is the largest collection of its kind in Texas. We are also home to the newspaper clippings morgues of the NY Herald-Tribune, the New York Journal-American, New York Times, and Newsweek Magazine.
Please note that staffing constraints prevent Briscoe Center staff from undertaking in-depth research for patrons, including going through many newspapers looking for vaguely defined articles or doing exact page/copy order cost counts. You can contact Reference Services for more information.
Original format newspapers are too large to be photocopied. However, patrons using their own cameras under our staff supervision may photograph newspapers. We also do not loan original format newspapers, but some microfilmed papers may be available through interlibrary loan. If you need additional help, please Contact Us.
