About Finding Aids
Finding aids are documents containing detailed information about a specific collection of papers, images, objects, or records. The Briscoe Center’s finding aids are collated using TARO (Texas Archival Resources Online), an external keyword searchable database of finding aids for the Briscoe Center and other repositories. TARO makes descriptions of the rich archival, manuscript, and museum collections in repositories across the state available to the public. Keep in mind that in most cases, the collections themselves are not available online.
