
Dr. Jerry R. Grammer

Dr. Jerry R. Grammer received his bachelor’s degree in sociology and government from The University of Texas at Austin in 1969. Following his discharge from the U.S. Army with the rank of captain, he attended Southern Methodist University and received an MBA in organizational behavior and administration and an MLA with a concentration in psychology. Dr. Grammer was awarded his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 1982.
Dr. Grammer was married for nearly forty years to the late Dianne Sabom Grammer, who was a talented and successful landscape artist. Together they have two sons. Jonathan, his wife, Claire, and their three children, Jeb, Grace, and Georgia, live in Amarillo. Christopher and his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Walker and Leigh, reside in Austin. Most recently, Dr. Grammer married Luann Bruster, a high school sweetheart whom he reconnected with at their 50th class reunion.
Dr. and Mrs. Grammer recently relocated from Austin to the Dallas area, and he now maintains a clinical practice, working with adolescent through adult populations, in both cities. He also practices in the area of forensic psychology. He consults and testifies in civil and criminal matters for both the plaintiff/prosecution and defense.
