
Mrs. Alice S. Dawson
Panhandle, TX
Alice Dawson graduated from The University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. After graduation, she moved to Houston with her husband, Robbin. In 1993, Mrs. Dawson moved from Houston to Panhandle, Texas, where she has held many volunteer roles with a variety of organizations including the Carson County Square House Museum, Harrington House in Amarillo, the Quartz Mountain Music Festival, the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra, and the Board of Trustees of Chamber Music Amarillo.
In addition to being on the Ambassadors Council at the Briscoe Center, Mrs. Dawson is a founding member of the Director’s Circle. She continues her commitment to volunteerism as a member of the Friends of Southwestern Art Advisory Committee of the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum in Canyon, Texas, and as member of Stringendo, an advisory group for the Harrington String Quartet.
Mrs. Dawson lives on a ranch north of Panhandle, Texas, where she is involved in cattle ranching and is fulfilling her dream of being a cowgirl.
